Wavedash aren’t your average 18 year olds, and are one of the only trios bringing fresh sound to the EDM and dubstep scene. Based out of Austin, Texas with a name derved from a move in the legendary game Super Smash Bros, they are already winning.

The trio was named one of the top artists to look out for in 2016 by, and were relatively unknown when their song “Bang” was shared by none other than OWSLA on their soundcloud. And once you hear their sound, you know that Wavedash belongs there.

I have been waiting for this track since summer of last year. Being premiered in sets, mixes, and most notably OWSLA‘s Beats 1 show, it was about time it got released. Off their massive debut EP “Hundred,” released back in March, this track is definitely a banger.

Teaming up with fellow Texan, Quest, who is not one shy of bangers with releases, like his Wiwek & Skrillex remix, that reached over 320k plays. Also, his Barely Alive remix got over 113k plays on Soundcloud.

“Off Leash” starts off with an eerie static, foreshadowing the synth you hear in the first drop playing faintly in the background. Wasting no time in getting to the first build up and dropping a different and rhythmic chorus, the track switches it up with another build up into a heavy dubstep chorus, which exemplifies genre in its full.

I’m sure we will be hearing the this track and many more made by the trio all festival season.
