NGHTMRE is hands down one of the biggest names in the industry today. He’s grown from playing the piano and drums to making mashups and edits. Now he’s producing tracks and headlining some of the biggest festivals in the world. He first gained recognition when Skrillex dropped “Street” at Ultra Music Festival in 2015. Ultimately for NGHTMRE it’s mesmerizing to see dj’s he’s looked up to – Bassnectar, Trollphace, RL Grime – playing his tracks. Including influences from Jack U, GTA, DJ Snake, and Flume he hopes to meld the lines between genres. He is certainly on the rise with releases of high profile remixes and collaborations.
“Street” changed his career. And surely this headbanger happened through pure experimentation. Sometimes you begin to go with one idea and end up with something completely different. Released with Diplo’s Mad Decent label in 2015, this super high-energy sound debuted at NGHTMRE‘s EDC Las Vegas 2015 set. The ear blasting baseline, synth progression and vocal chops will blow your face off. Imagine being able to see this track played live. I wish I was in the crowd when this first released! Once the menacing lyric “back with that hard street” drops you already know the song is about to be a certified banger. With this in mind, hear it for yourself!
