Mysterious house producer Shinichi Atobe drops surprise new album, ‘Heat’

Japanese producer Shinichi Atobe has just dropped his latest album via DDS records, titled ‘Heat’. In the true fashion of this enigmatic musician, ‘Heat’ arrived on Demdike Stare‘s desk, “on a CD sent by air mail from Japan to Manchester, sparse info, no messing, pure gold,” according to the press release.

‘Heat’ follows on from Atobe’s 2017 album ‘From The Heart, It’s A Start, a Work of Art’ and is available now on double vinyl (limited to 400 copies) from Boomkat and comes with a free download.

Baffled label bosses comment that the new release, “could have been produced 20 years ago, could have been produced earlier this year—we’ll probably never know.”
